My name is James Helyar, I’m a Camera Operator and Lighter based in London.

​

I’ve been freelance since February 2023.

Prior to this, I worked for a renowned Film Production Agency in the publicity side of the film and TV industry for 15 years.

​

I studied a multi media course and specialised In Film Making at the University of Creative Arts in Farnham.

​

Over the years, I’ve worked with a plethora of A-list talent, I’m very discreet and have an excellent manner when working with high profile clients.

​

I love working with people and working in a team, just as much as solo.

My work has taken me around the world and I have very much enjoyed working at Venice and Cannes annually.

I have a passion for visuals and a keen eye for detail.

I truly have the best job in the world and hope that this shows in the high quality of work I produce.
